MADELEINE LEFEBVRE
Madeleine Lefebvre has been Chief Librarian of Ryerson University in Toronto since 2007. She has previously held Chief Librarian appointments at Saint Mary’s University and Mount Royal College.
Madeleine is a Fellow of the UK Chartered Institute of Library and Information Professionals, and an Associate of the Australian Library and Information Association. She was the 2003/2004 President of the Canadian Library Association. She is in her second year of serving as a member of OCLC Global Council.
In 2005, Scarecrow Press published her book, The Romance of Libraries. In 2007 Madeleine was honoured to receive the Atlantic Provinces Library Association Merit Award.
Madeleine is currently working with architects Snøhetta and Zeidler Partnership on Ryerson’s new Student Learning Centre, which is scheduled to open in the winter of 2015.
